Support for marginalized people on the move / Polish-Ukrainian border

A part of Directsupport has decided to participate in supporting marginalized people on the move from Ukraine. With the Medibus we will provide basic medical care, hot drinks, free WiFi and cell phone charging stations, and we will also participate in shuttle coordination.
Due to the reports from the Polish border region that the care of bipoc and queer people is precarious, we have decided to spontaneously provide care for exactly these people. It pisses us off how society differentiates between supposedly „real“ and supposedly „not real“ refugees. We are angry about the reports of racist and queer/transphobic treatment of people who flee. We are angry about how racists outdo each other in their racist rhetoric. All people have the right to live where they want. All people have the right to choose their life circumstances and also to escape from them. We don’t want to write long texts here and lose ourselves in ranting about the entire situation. We rather want to become active in order to provide practical solidarity. If you can and want to support us, please donate or contact us.
We will start on Tuesday the 8th of March and will be on site for two weeks. Current information can be found at: directsupport.blackblogs.org
